‘Karantena (Quarantine)’ Project Summary
During the COVID-19 pandemic, I was invited for my colleague’s director project, the idea to shoot a short film about the quarantine in our city, Zagreb. Filming and editing took approximately a month and I took a co-production role. The film has been showcased at respected national festivals and has been accepted on some international film platforms.
- Concept Development: Collaborating with the director’s concept to conceive a compelling narrative reflecting our city’s unique quarantine experience.
- Video Editing: seamlessly editing the footage to create a cohesive and impactful narrative.
- Music Composition: Composing an original score and music landscape with the band ‘Java’ to evoke the film’s intended mood and atmosphere.
- Sound Design: Editing and enhancing the film’s audio to complement the visual storytelling.
‘Ointment on the Wound and Smile on the Face’ Project Summary
This project was realized by my friend, director, and world traveler Saša Ričković for his humanitarian organization ‘Mama Hrvatska.’ From his numerous travels across Africa, Saša often brought back materials for promotional and documentary films. This time, he returned from Rwanda with the idea to portray the lives of impoverished children and families in one of Africa’s poorest countries. The project was intended for his YouTube channel and was entirely humanitarian. To raise awareness about poverty, Saša made several television appearances, during which a trailer featuring U2’s ‘One’ was showcased.
- Video Editing Design: Crafting a visually cohesive and impactful narrative by seamlessly editing the footage.
- Sound Design: Developing an audio landscape that enhances the emotional resonance of the trailer.
- Promo Trailer Preparation: Assembling and fine-tuning the promotional trailer to effectively convey the project’s message and purpose.
‘Nikola’ – Scope of Project
We embarked on an ambitious project of an architect Nikola Bašić to develop a coastal city near Šibenik on the Mediterranean.
The production team utilized numerous location shots around the future city to capture the essence and potential of the area.
Architect Nikola Bašić provided comprehensive materials, which we integrated into the project to create a compelling narrative.
My small team skillfully produced the 2D and 3D animations required for the project.

Project Summary
This development initiative was designed to rejuvenate the area and was carried out in partnership with the local community. The project resulted in two main video outputs: a detailed long-form descriptive video and a concise, impactful trailer. These videos were created for internal viewing by potential investors, with a particular focus on attracting interest from Swiss and American investors. My comprehensive approach included:
- Video Editing: Crafting compelling narratives that resonate with the high-profile target audience.
- Sound Design: I also developed the audio landscape, enhancing the video’s storytelling and emotional impact with the local music.

‘the less is more’ Project Summary
“Manje je Više (Less is More)” is an internationally awarded short festival film created in collaboration with director Goran Markoš. The film explores the concept of nonverbal communication with the creative approach of silencing the atmosphere in the footage and focusing solely on the imagery, accompanied by subtle, unobtrusive music. My comprehensive approach included:
- Music Composition: Composing the film’s music to complement the visual storytelling and enhance the overall mood of the film.
- Post-production: handling minimal post-production tasks, including graphic elements and color correction, to ensure a cohesive but raw final product.
‘Prstima po Usnama’ Project Summary
For this project, I collaborated with ‘Plavi film’ studio, cinematographer Suzana Arslani, and my team of animators. The music video was shot in one day in a highly creative and fluid atmosphere. Everything was filmed with a single camera in front of a green screen. What followed was a more challenging phase of producing the final product due to technical difficulties with the green screen and achieving a smooth flow in the edit. Despite these challenges, the music video achieved significant success, maintaining high rankings on several social media platforms for an extended period. My roles in this project included:
- Director
- Scriptwriter
- Video Editor
- Animator
‘a little bit of feelings’ Project Summary
This video is particularly dear to me as I spent a considerable amount of time preparing the production, script, and timing for the shoot. Despite thorough planning, everything went awry due to severe cold and snow during the winter shoot. Filmed under the studio conditions of the well-equipped Alpha Film studio, the project required a lot of improvisation. Thanks to the talented cinematographer Ivan Dabac, and the members of the band Java crew, we managed to overcome the challenges. In the end, the emotion captured in the video perfectly matched the song’s sentiment. My roles in this project included:
- Director
- Video Editor
- Animator
- Co-author of the Song (with the band Java)
‘Dnevnik Čovjek’ Project Summary
This music video was filmed over a month in various locations during the scorching Zagreb summer of 2011. The band Java, cinematographer Alen Okanović, and animator Tomislav Mohenski all contributed their best efforts to make this video lively and memorable. We used a filming technique that involved recording at double speed, which required the singer, Sandro Ruotolo, to sing at twice the normal speed. When slowed down, this technique gave the video a dreamy and surreal feel. The project employed various film and animation techniques, providing a rich learning experience for me and the whole team, nowadays professionals in their respective fields. My roles in this project included:
- Direction and Supervision: Co-directed the video, overseeing the creative process and execution.
- Video Editing: Edited the footage to create a cohesive and engaging final product.
- Learning Experience: Gained valuable insights and skills from employing various film and animation techniques.
‘Pohanci (Deep Fried)’ Project Summary

My role was to assist a small and talented team of 3D visual artists to bring a snake to life in about ten scenes. - 3D Visual Effects: Assisted in creating and animating the snake in various scenes.
- Final Touches: Applied the finishing touches to the snake shots to ensure realism and fluidity.
- Post-Production Integration: Seamlessly integrated the 3D snake into the live-action scenes to maintain a cohesive visual experience.
